At Kendal College's centre of sporting excellence and leisure we offer courses which combine academic and vocational studies that are worth up to 360 UCAS points if you want to go on to university.
Individual and team sports, leisure qualifications and outdoor adventurous activities are all available.
With the government setting a target of getting at least 70% of the population participating in sport and physical activity there is a clear need to train new and existing people in sport and outdoor industry. Careers in sport include a PE Teacher, Outdoor Instructor, Fitness Professional, Sports Coach and many more exciting opportunities.
With the London 2012 Olympic Games planned there is no better time to gain a qualification and pursue a career in the sports industry.

* Denotes a YPLA funded course and is free to 16-18 year olds. Over 19s may qualify for free tuition when in receipt of JSA or ESA benefits (excludes part time art, design & media, Indian head, Swedish massage and spa treatment courses).
** You will not have to pay tuition fees if this is your first full level 2 programme (5 A*-C GCSE or equivalent) .
*** You will not have to pay any tuition fees if this is your first full level 3 programme (2 A levels) and are aged 19-25 or if over 25 and do not already have a full Level 2 qualification.
**** You will not have to pay any tuition fees if you do not already have a full Level 2 qualification or above and are intending to progress to a full Level 2 qualification.
*Reg fee refers to any registration, examination, assessment or any other fee related to awarding body.
This fee must be paid at the time of enrolment.
