Terms and Conditions
Bookings of forty or more guests may request sole use of the Restaurant except during themed events or Christmas service.
Members of the Diner’s Club must produce their discount card when settling their bill to qualify for the 10% discount.
Guests booking for Christmas must pay the full balance at the time of booking. Refunds will only be given at the College’s discretion.
A £5 non-refundable deposit per person is required for all events (other than Christmas meals) for groups of ten or more guests.
When a menu is dedicated to a type or style of food, individual requests that differ from the printed menu will only be accepted at the time of booking.
Even though not printed on the menu, vegetarian options are available during each service.
Religious and other dietary requirements should be stated at the time of booking or immediately upon arrival at the Restaurant
to a member of the service team.
For those guests wishing to provide their own wines and Champagnes or sparkling wines, a corkage charge of £6 for still wines and £10 for sparkling wines and Champagnes will be applied.
Lunch service will commence at 12 noon with the bar opening at 11.45am. Evening service will commence at 7pm with the bar opening at 6.45pm unless otherwise stated. Guests are reminded that The Restaurant and bar are teaching facilities and sometimes it is not possible to allow entry prior to these times.
The College has its own car parks, which can be used free of charge. However, parking for The Restaurant can occasionally be limited, with disabled parking not always guaranteed. Guests will be able to drop off at the front door and then find suitable alternative parking.
Vehicles are left at the owner’s/customer’s own risk. The College does not accept responsibility for loss or damage.
If parking on College grounds is not available, there is alternative public parking at Kendal Leisure Centre, LA9 7HX (5 mins walk, on Burton Road, follow signs for A65, Endmoor) and at the Parish Church LA9 5AF (4 mins walk, on Kirkland, continue past College on Milnthorpe Road towards town centre).
Before you set off, we recommend that you visit the location page of this website for map indicating nearest parking and local road network.
Requests for fund-raising events are plentiful and we cannot guarantee that we can always subsidise or honour such events, as we rely on the goodwill of our suppliers to assist in reducing the costs and enable us to pass these savings on to you. Requests for events over and above the College’s curriculum activities will incur an additional labour charge.
