Calling all Bob McGhie Award recipients
28 July 2010
Kendal College is looking to get in touch with all former recipients of the Bob Mcghie Award, young and old as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations. The initiative has enabled aspiring catering professionals from Kendal College to travel all over the world since 1985 and to celebrate the Anniversary, Kendal College will be holding a special black tie dinner on Friday 12 November in the college's stunning restaurant.

To honour him after his death in 1984, a trust was set up to provide a scholarship to worthy students of Kendal College's hospitality and catering department to gain further experience and widen their horizons by working at home and abroad. The award continues to this day and is available to all students hospitality, be they full or part-time students, or apprentices.
The awards can provide help in locating placements in top hotels and restaurants in the UK or around the world, as well as funding to cover travel, accommodation and other expenses to allow them to complete their scholarships.
