
Shire Horse Draws up to Kendal College

A special delivery took place today at Kendal College, when the hospitality department took delivery of several cases of Robinson's award-winning 'Tom' beers by traditional dray horse.

The college has been working with Robinsons of Stockport, Manchester to promote and develop recipes using the beers.
The Lakes Hotel School served lunch today with dishes created with the beers and diners will choose from a menu of traditional pub grub and enjoy Robinson's beers.
The food menu has been created by the chefs of the Lakes Hotel School and the food is to be prepared and served by the hospitality department.
Robinson’s Pub Lunch
Starters
- Cream of field mushrooms with snipped green chives
- Gammon and pineapple terrine, warm sweet n’ sour potatoes

Toasted English bottom-baked muffin
Main course
- Posh ‘fish fingers’ in Robinson’s Ginger Tom batter, bashed peas and big fat chips
- Robinson’s Old Tom braised feather-blade beef steak,
Herb dumplings and glazed carrots - Lakes speciality chilli and chocolate sausage, mustard mash and thick Robinson’s Chocolate Tom gravy
Puds
- Warm steamed sponge pudding, ginger ale ice cream and a shot of Robinson’s Ginger Tom beer
- Chocolate Tom beer parfait, chocolate
fondant & chocolate sauce - Classical blackberry queen of pudding with apple sorbet
The Robinson's pub lunch menu is available for £12.00 including coffee in the bar afterwards
