Cutting the cost of degree-level study

4 August 2009

The College is delighted to announce that there is now some funding available for any individual who successfully applies for a place on either the University of Cumbria part-time Foundation Degree in Business Management or the part-time Foundation Degree in Computing.
This is for courses that start in the 2009-2010 academic year only but it will support students over the three years of their part-time programme.

Cutting the cost of degree level study at Kendal College

Modules normally cost £220 per module but the College now has funding for a LIMITED number of places at just £110 per module.

Funding will be awarded on a “first come first served” basis – so if you are thinking about enrolling onto one of these programmes, you are advised to apply as soon as possible in order to take advantage of this rare opportunity. The reduction in fees is being supported by the Cumbria Economic Challenge Investment Fund (ECIF) and funded by the Higher Education Funding Council.

Part-time Foundation Degrees are designed for people who work or have family commitments, giving the greatest flexibility to pursue a career whilst studying towards a degree programme.

In short, this is a great opportunity for you to study locally, in small class sizes and with great tutor support, in our stunning new facilities. The icing on the cake is to be able to take your qualifications to a higher level at virtually half the cost !

Applications for part-time Foundation Degrees are made directly to the College. Please contact Student Services on 01539 814700 for further information or for an Application Form.

Please note, this funding offer does not apply if you are already eligible for fee reduction and course grant (non-repayable), that is dependent upon household income. Part-time course fees must be paid at the beginning of each year of study. If you would like to discuss your options, please feel free to come and talk to one of our student advisors based in student services at main site next to reception.
