Kendal College can now offer support to you if you are looking for work: whether it is to help you with applications or full retraining for another career. Many of the programmes can fit around your benefits and can be agreed with JobCentre Plus. There are links to employers and help that can be sourced to fit your individual needs; whether you have been unemployed for a long time or are a graduate or school leaver. We can even help with your childcare needs while you study.

Skills Support for Redundancy

If you are at risk of, or have recently been made redundant, or have been unemployed for up to six months then we may be able to offer funded support and training to help you get back into the jobs market.

 

Skills Conditionality

If you have been out of the jobs market for some time, or feel that you need assistance with improving your skills for a particular type of job then we may be able to help with courses to help you build your CV, improve your English and maths, sharpen your interview techniques and build your confidence, as well as specific training courses for specific types of jobs such as retail and hospitality.

WorkClub

Come along to one of our WorkClubs and get free and friendly advice on how to get that job. We can help with everything from help with applying and getting interviews to providing training and courses to improve your chances.
