Kendal College is situated in Kendal on the edge of the Lake District National Park and is the leading training provider in the South Lakes. We know that skills shortages can be a major barrier to growth but Kendal College has the facilities, equipment and vision to be the first choice College for local employers in the area.
We are proud of the investment of over £27million in new facilities and equipment, including a state-of-the-art brand new Engineering & Science Centre, Animal Rescue Centre, specialist Construction facilities and work is currently underway on a £3.3 million development of the Northern Arts and Media Campus. The College specialises in Further and Higher Education, as well as training for businesses at all levels, including apprenticeships, NVQ and bespoke business training.
Full-time & Part-time Courses
We offer a great choice of professional and technical courses for students of all ages. Many are vocational programmes, developed with industry requirements in
mind, to provide employers with the skills, knowledge and experience required for the workplace.
We have also recently introduced a suite of A-Levels which can be studied alongside another vocational course or as part of an A-Level study package.

Developed with awarding bodies and industry partners, many of our professional courses allow employees to gain an industry-recognised qualification which will ensure your workplace meets the necessary
legal requirements and improves the skills, knowledge and productivity amongst your workforce.
Kendal College offers over 32 apprenticeship programmes from Level 2 to Degree level. We work closely with employers to create apprenticeship programmes that allow their employees to gain valuable qualifications
and experience whilst making sure they develop the relevant skills required.
The highly skilled and professional teaching staff – many with vocational expertise - are experienced in helping apprentices and their
employers. The best technology, software and equipment is readily available for apprentices to benefit from.
Whether it’s one-to-one sessions with experienced staff, someone to help with your CV, interview techniques and applications, or short training courses to improve your confidence, we can help. JobWorks provides support for those who are at risk of or have been made redundant, as well as training and support packages to help people back into work.

sector and flexible in delivery to meet the needs of your workplace.
Kendal College has over 30 years’ experience in delivering degree level programmes and an excellent record of student success. We offer a range of flexible programmes on a full-time basis or part-time to fit around employment commitments. Courses range from HNC, HND and PGCE to Foundation Degrees, BA (Hons) Degrees and Apprenticeships taught by highly qualified and experienced industry professionals.

Venue & Conference Room Hire
Kendal College's conference centre and seminar facilities can provide the ideal location for your conference, meeting, away day or other event. Our stunning facilities include six conference and seminar rooms, equipped with
state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment. The Box theatre, located at our Arts & Media Campus, is also available to hire for live performances, lectures, comedy, presentations, product launches, recording/broadcast and cinema screenings.
