The part-time level 3 photography program is designed to progress photography students who have previously completed a level 2 course and have a good level of technical and aesthetic knowledge and ability. The course content is aimed at teaching the creative process, necessary to communicate your visual ideas in a coherent and meaningful way to an audience. You will learn to navigate the initial process of visual research, clarifying your photography aims and objectives, developing your ideas and technical skills to achieve professional level results that communicate your ideas to an audience. You will have opportunities to reinforce your technical camera skills, learn professional ways of working on location and in the studio and become self-directed and independent in your photography.
The program offers assessed and non-assessed routes, so that you have a choice of whether you would like to follow the qualification or undertake the course for ‘leisure’. You must tell us when you begin which route you would prefer to take.
There are two assessed units, with two extended location based projects. This program is assessed through online course-work, using the Wordpress blogging platform, which involves some written elements. There are no exams.
