Borrowdale’s hidden hamlets and spectacular passes are a delight to discover and photograph and this comfortable tour will take in the best of them. Surprising viewpoints and high Lakeland panoramas will provide beautiful landscape opportunities. Photographing the traditional buildings of the Lake District in their settings is a skill and a challenge. We will explore the possibilities for bold compositions with texture, shape, line and contrast with white-washed houses, stone-built barns, aged wood and cast iron and the interplay of light and shade. You will learn the secrets of differential focusing, use your telephoto lens to isolate architectural details and learn how to highlight texture using the trick of “lightpainting”.
