The course places an emphasis on creative thinking, the design process, and the realisation of projects using Adobe Creative Suite to develop ideas from the perspective of a professional designer.  These skills and techniques will be developed through set tasks focused on learning particular skills, and also to produce your own more in depth project work. You will explore the principals of graphic design, learn how it has evolved, and discover what the future holds for one of the fastest growing careers in the world.

What will I learn?

The course will include:

- Skills in the use of Adobe Photoshop and Indesign for the purpose of graphic design.

- To develop effective design ideas through creative thinking and problem solving. 

- How to develop and present creative design concepts for a personal project.

- How to develop effective design concepts for print and web media.

- Provide thoughtful commentary on existing design pieces demonstrating understanding of design elements, communication, audience, and tone.

How will I be assessed?

This course has no formal assessment, although detailed feedback will be given to you as part of the process.  You can request a Kendal College certificate of attendance if you would like one upon completion of the programme.
