The VTCT Level 2 Award in Foot Care is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in providing foot care treatments which aim to improve the condition and appearance of the nails and skin.
The purpose of this qualification is develop your skills in beauty therapy and foot care and will provide you with the foundation for further learning.
It is also a beneficial addition for any Reflexologists who want to add additional foot care to prepare the feet for the reflexology treatment.

What will I learn?
You will learn about the condition of the skin and nails on the feet. You will learn how to use paraffin wax, thermal boots and other pedicure equipment, as well as classical massage techniques for the foot and leg. You will also learn about the contra-indications to foot care treatments, as well as the physiological benefits of the treatment.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment of practical skills will be at the training centre or designated workplace. Continuous assessment by means of written work, assignments and home practice will contribute to your portfolio of evidence. A learning plan with dates for assessment will be agreed by you and your tutor on enrolment.
There are a range of Beauty Therapy qualifications at Level 2, 3 or 4 that can add to your range of treatments to offer clients.
