The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology for Complementary Therapies is a knowledge-based qualification that provides a sound platform for a career in complementary therapies. Units in this qualification have been mapped to the relevant NOS (where applicable). This qualification is approved and supported by Skills for Health, the sector skills council for health.

What will I learn?
This qualification includes knowledge and understanding of the organisation of the body, and the structure, function and pathologies of the skin, hair and nails, the structure, function and pathologies of the various body systems including the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment of theory knowledge will be at the training centre or designated workplace. Continuous assessment by means of written work, assignments and research will contribute to your portfolio of evidence. A learning plan with dates for assessment will be agreed by you and your tutor on enrolment.
There are a range of Beauty and Complementary Therapy qualifications at Level 2, 3 or 4 that can add to your range of treatments to offer clients.
