You will gain an Award in Creative Craft, Entry 3 (QCF).

The Creative Craft course will teach you how to use raw materials, tools and equipment in a safe and competent manner.

You will be encouraged to develop analytical and research skills to enable you to evaluate your own work, develop ideas and learning through the craft process.

You will learn how to organise and keep a sketchbook to include artist research, reference images and outcomes from practical workshops.

What will I learn?

Graham Watson will be teaching this course, each of the 6 weeks will focus on a different creative process led by a tutor demonstration with artist links. These may include drawing from observation, printmaking, paper art, painting, mixed media.

The course aims to introduce you to different Art & Design techniques, learning new skills to produce visual artwork.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed at a Pass, Merit and Distinction level.

There is no formal examination element to this course. You will be assessed via a portfolio of work produced throughout the course. This will include loose drawings, sketchbook work and a written evaluation.
