Appointment of Chief Executive & Principal

Kendal College is seeking to appoint an exceptional and visionary leader to join us at an important time in our development. Following the retirement of the current Principal after 18 successful years in the role, we are seeking an individual who will inspire an experienced executive team and dedicated members of staff who are passionate about providing the best opportunities for their learners.

Salary: Competitive

Kendal College has established an excellent reputation in the sector and is located in the thriving town of Kendal on the edge of the recently recognised World Heritage Site, the Lake District National Park.

Our new Chief Executive & Principal will be an integral part of the College’s growth agenda, working in partnership within the community and with partner FE providers.  You’ll bring strong and compelling leadership to our organisation, capitalising on the talent and commitment that is already in place and encouraging both innovation and aspiration from within. We’re open to new ways of doing things and you’ll have space to shape our resources around what we want to achieve for our learners and community.

This role offers a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial and charismatic individual with a genuine commitment to providing learning and education to the community. The successful candidate will demonstrate significant leadership experience, strong resource management and commercial acumen. They will bring experience of motivating, leading and developing teams, be an engaging and inspiring communicator with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
