If you have been unemployed for six months, are at risk of, or have recently been made redundant, we can provide you with industry-led qualifications that help to support and upskill you, giving you new and improved opportunities. Courses include First Aid, Health and Safety, Food Safety, IT and Team Leading courses
Unemployed for more than six months?
We deliver courses that are designed to develop your employability skills and further your knowledge of the jobs market. We also deliver industry-led qualifications that help to support and upskill you in preparation for applying for jobs.
Employed, but want to improve your skills and qualifications?
Short work-related training courses to help you improve English, Maths and IT and sector specific training. Learn new skills that will help you in your current job or develop in other areas of your workplace.
Workplace Learning and The Edge
Give your business 'The Edge' and access a wide variety of funded training opportunities to upskill your workforce.
This Cumbria-wide project has enabled us to secure European funding to meet the training needs of the County, in particular for priory areas as identifed by the Cumbria Local Enterprise Parntership. Kendal College, as a contract delivery partner, is able to arrange to meet with you to discuss your business needs. Ideas for training include:

Come along to one of our WorkClubs and get free and friendly advice on how to get that job. We can help with everything from support with applying for jobs and interview preparation to providing training and courses. WorkClubs are held at The Lodge, Kendal Museum grounds, Station Road, Kendal, Cumbria, LA9 6BT between 12-5pm.
